Impressive but annoying in places

I thought the animation was impressive and the creepy soundtrack added much to the atmosphere but it really ticked me off the way the girl kept pulling weapons out of nowhere (she was wearing a dress with no apparent holsters).

I know this sounds churlish of me - but the style of your animation is realistic and you can't then expect the viewer to accept cartoon-style devices such as weapons being pulled out of mid-air.

Nice animation work though - and I liked the skeleton/zombie/door-to-door-salesman banging at the window in the background.

Incomplete and therefore should be an Alpha

Sorry, but the NG guidelines clearly state that if something is unfinished (and the fact yours cuts out so abruptly means that it is unfinished) it should be submitted to Alphas.

Having said that - I think it's a good start and I gave it a 2. I didn't want to blam you for a first animation that shows promise.

It needs some kind of story or at least some context clues (I had no idea what was going on) but if the rest of it looks like what you've done so far, it should be worth watching. Keep it up!

Just be careful - DON'T post this movie until you've finished it. NG takes a very dim view of people posting progressive versions of the same movie. See the FAQ for details.

So awful it's great!

After watching some complete floaters newly submitted to the Flash Portal this week this one really made me laugh. The graphics were great and the story was pretty good too (although a little weird). I suspect the authors were taking the mick out of some Anime that I've witnessed but who cares - it really kept me entertained for the whole thing. :)

The only thing that let the movie down was the voice acting. The dialogue had me in stitches on occasion but I think getting someone else to do some of the voices would have improved things no end - unless the voice actor learns to do some clearly different voices.

The volumes seemed to keep jumping too. Perhaps running all the audio through a normalisation process could help there.

All in all - watch it! It's great!

rocket crotch is sort of a parody of every superhero type of storytelling, this includes both 'cape comics' and japanese stuff like dragonball Z, power rangers etc

Nice smooth animation but dull

My first reaction when I looked at this was, "What the hell?"
I don't really get the reason why the leek and other thing (let's say for the sake of argument that it was a turnip) have a clock for an eye (I guess they were eyes - they were blinking) or why the turnip was frothing at the mouth.

Nice song - and I can kind of see the animation was related to that, but the whole thing seemed to be turnip and leek sat there blinking and frothing with thought bubbles over them. If they were actually doing something together - instead of the same short looped animation it might have held my attention longer.

I'm guessing that maybe this was based on previously established characters that I've never seen before but I can only judge this on its own merits.

But then maybe I have a very short attention span. :)

Thanks for the review, I admit I should have done more in the background, but it was suppose to be a rather relaxed animation and it's really my first attempt at a semi-decent flash. If you watch my other movies you'll understand what I mean by serious.
